Anne qualified as a level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor, in February 2015. She decided to train as a Pilates Instructor after having a lower back problem for many years and knowing the benefits of Pilates and how it transformed her life. She started attending Pilates after being advised by a hospital physiotherapist in 2006 to find a Pilates class, as there was nothing further the hospital could do to improve her back problem.

Pilates was originally called Contrology and developed at the beginning of the 20th century. It is a unique sequence of exercises created by Joseph Pilates, designed to help you achieve a balance of body and mind. Focusing on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility and posture.

In addition to being a Pilates Instructor, Anne has qualified as a ‘Pure Stretch’ and ‘Move It OR Lose It Instructor’. She is a member of REPS. (Register of Exercise Professionals) and is fully insured with them.
